Hot Tent Camping in a Heavy Rainstorm With 2 Puppies

I decided to skate from home into the forest with my two foster puppies for a peaceful camping adventure. Everything was going perfectly until a powerful rainstorm suddenly rolled in. I was completely soaked within minutes, so my first priority was keeping the puppies safe. I quickly built them a small rain shelter using my poncho while I rushed to set up my hot tent. Cold, wet and shivering, I gathered firewood, split it with my axe and lit the wood stove as fast as I could. The warmth slowly dried my clothes and turned a miserable evening into one of the most unforgettable camping nights I've ever experienced. I also made the puppies a small raised bed using a towel to keep them warm and dry, cooked dinner for all of us, and finally fell asleep listening to the heavy rain outside the tent. The two puppies are currently in foster care through my mother's animal rescue organization while they wait for their forever homes.
