12 R&B One-Hit Wonders You Only Hear Once In A Lifetime

Some of these songs have been played a billion times. The people who made them never saw a dime of it. In this video we go deep on 12 R&B and soul artists who gave the world one perfect record and got almost nothing in return. Not just forgotten careers. We are talking stolen songwriting credits, record labels that kept the royalties, government interference, accidents, poverty, and one song that turned out to be a eulogy nobody knew they were dancing to. These are not obscure songs. You have heard every single one of them. You just never knew the story behind who made them and what it cost. Artists featured: Bobby Hebb, Erma Franklin, Fontella Bass, Rosie Hamlin, Freda Payne, Dorothy Moore, Jean Knight, King Floyd, Anita Ward, The Five Stairsteps, The Floaters and Rockwell. If you love classic R&B and soul music history, subscribe to R&B Wonders. Every week we go back for the voices the industry left behind and make sure they are remembered the right way. Turn on notifications so the algorithm does not bury them twice. #RnB #SoulMusic #RnBHistory #OneHitWonder #ClassicRnB #ForgottenArtists #MusicHistory #BobbyHebb #FontellaBass #ErmaFranklin #RnBWonders
