Description

Tsakane Matlala, the wife of alleged underworld figure Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala, has been arrested in connection with an allegedly fraudulent luxury property lease in Pretoria. According to eNCA, Tsakane was arrested on Tuesday by members of the Gauteng Political Killings Task Team, following the arrest of a close associate of Cat Matlala. She is the second suspect arrested in connection with the alleged fraudulent lease. The property was reportedly secured for R95,000 per month, with nearly R1.2 million paid upfront for the first year. Reports allege that Cat Matlala presented an eSwatini identity document under the name Vusimuzi Dhlamini and claimed to be a prince from Swaziland. Tsakane allegedly used the name Claudette Masethe during the property transaction. Tsakane is accused of allegedly falsifying bank statements to help secure the lease. But this arrest comes against the backdrop of an even bigger legal battle. Tsakane is already facing serious charges alongside her husband in the ongoing attempted-murder case involving alleged plots against media personality Tebogo Thobejane and taxi boss Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni. The couple and their co-accused have pleaded not guilty to the charges. In this video, we look at: • Tsakane Matlala’s latest arrest • The alleged R95,000-a-month Pretoria mansion lease • The alleged R1.2 million first-year payment • The alleged false identities used to secure the property • The alleged falsification of bank statements • Tsakane and Cat Matlala’s ongoing attempted-murder case • The allegations involving Tebogo Thobejane • The allegations involving Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni and DJ Vettys • Why this latest arrest has put Tsakane Matlala back in the spotlight IMPORTANT: The allegations discussed in this video are allegations and should not be treated as proven facts unless established by a court. The accused remain entitled to the presumption of innocence. What do you make of Tsakane Matlala’s latest arrest? Let’s talk in the comments.
