It's Not You — Here's Why the Bible Feels Like Just Another Book

It's Not You — Here's Why the Bible Feels Like Just Another Book You opened your Bible this morning. You read the words. And nothing happened. No conviction. No revelation. No sense that God was near the page. Just words that felt like words. In this video, you'll discover five things to do when the Bible seems like just an ordinary book. Through Hebrews 4:12 and other powerful passages, we'll uncover why the Word of God has not become less alive—and why sometimes the real issue is the posture we bring to it. Many believers slowly move from reading the Bible to encounter God to reading it simply to complete a chapter, follow a plan, or check a box. The result can be spiritual dryness, frustration, distraction, and the feeling that Scripture no longer speaks the way it once did. But the Bible was never meant to be consumed like ordinary information. It was given to reveal God, expose the heart, transform the mind, and lead us into obedience. Sometimes the answer is not reading more, but reading slower, listening deeper, asking God to search our hearts, and learning to trust His Word even when we don't immediately feel anything. This message will challenge the way you think about Bible reading, spiritual dryness, God's voice, Scripture, prayer, obedience, biblical meditation, and what it truly means to encounter God through His Word. If your Bible has started to feel ordinary, if you struggle to stay focused when you read, or if you miss the sense of connection you once had with Scripture, this biblical teaching may reveal what has changed—and how to approach the Word again with expectation. 📚 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞: Download FaithSketch Bible studies, eBooks, and digital resources to grow in God's Word. 👉 https://ko-fi.com/faithsketch/shop ❤️ 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭: Help FaithSketch continue sharing God's Word through Ko-fi.
