Why Are Benches Designed Like THIS?! 😳

Why Are Benches Designed Like THIS?! 😳 Some public benches are intentionally designed to make resting or lying down difficult. Features like dividers, unusual angles, and uncomfortable surfaces are often examples of what’s known as hostile architecture, which is sometimes used to discourage homeless people from sleeping in public spaces. These designs can be found in cities around the world and have sparked criticism over how public spaces are designed and who they are meant to serve. In 2003, two French artists challenged the idea with Fakir’s Rest, showing how people can still find ways to rest even when the environment is deliberately made uncomfortable. #shorts #bench #interestingfacts
