He Lives Alone High in the Mountains — Far from Civilization

High in the Ukrainian Carpathians, 73-year-old Mykhailo has chosen a life of simplicity and self-sufficiency — far from cities, far from the noise of modern life. Every day he tends his sheep and goats, makes traditional homemade cheese, grows his own food, picks wild berries and mushrooms from the surrounding forest, and crafts the tools he needs with his own hands. Surrounded by trees, clean mountain air, and complete silence, he lives by a rhythm that hasn't changed in decades. This documentary, filmed in a remote corner of the Carpathian mountains, offers a rare look into a world where time moves differently. It's a story about freedom, resilience, and the quiet beauty of a life lived in harmony with nature.
