Description
In this video, I take you through every type of supernova in the universe, ranked from the smallest spark to the total annihilation of a star. We begin with the nova, a dead star flaring back to life on its surface, then the thief, a white dwarf stealing fire from its partner until it detonates. From there it gets more violent: the giant's death, a massive star collapsing under its own weight in less than a second, and the stripped star, a sun torn down to its bare core before it explodes. Then we reach the strangest ones. The gold forge, a collision so extreme it manufactures real gold out of pure destruction. The brightest, the most luminous explosions the universe has ever produced. And total annihilation, a star ripped apart so completely that nothing is left behind at all, not even a core. We finish with the last supernova, the very final star explosion that will ever happen before the universe fades into permanent darkness. By the end, you'll see that a supernova is not one death, but many, and some of them are far stranger than you'd ever expect.
