The Biggest Heist in US History: The Great Brinks Robbery

On January 17, 1950, seven men wearing Halloween masks and navy peacoats infiltrated the highly secure Brinks Car Depot in Boston, Massachusetts. In just 15 to 20 minutes, they pulled off the biggest heist in US history, vanishing with over $1.2 million in cash and $1.5 million in checks and securities. Weighing over 1,000 pounds, this massive haul would be worth over $30 million today. Despite a massive $100,000 reward and an intense FBI manhunt, the robbers left almost no clues behind.
