The Groom Secretly Hired Someone to Follow His Bride | Drama Movie| Based On True Story| Lifetime

A High School Senior Refuses to Accept That Her Town Still Holds Separate Proms for Black and White Students. In a small Southern community, seventeen-year-old Maya Carter has grown up surrounded by traditions few adults are willing to question. One of them shocks her most. Every year, students from the same high school attend two different proms—divided by race. Maya decides her graduating class will be different. With the help of a local journalist, she begins publicly challenging school officials and parents, demanding one celebration where every student is welcome. Her campaign quickly divides the town. Some classmates support her. Others fear angering their families. Longtime residents insist there is no reason to change something that has existed for generations. But Maya refuses to back down. As graduation approaches, one teenager’s determination forces an entire community to confront prejudice it had learned to treat as normal. An inspiring drama about courage, equality, and a young woman willing to challenge generations of discrimination for one unforgettable night.
