Today’s Catholic Mass Readings and Gospel Reflection - Tuesday, October 6, 2026

Welcome to The Word of Lord. Today, we reflect on the Catholic Mass Readings for Tuesday, October 6, 2026, Tuesday of the Twenty-seventh Week in Ordinary Time. In today’s First Reading from Galatians 1:13-24, Saint Paul shares his powerful testimony of conversion. His life was transformed by the grace of God, reminding us that no matter our past, God can call us to a new purpose and a new life. Today’s Responsorial Psalm, Psalm 139, reminds us that God knows us completely. He knows our thoughts, our actions, and every part of our lives. We can never be separated from His loving presence. In today’s Gospel, Luke 10:38-42, Jesus visits Martha and Mary. Martha is busy serving, while Mary sits at the feet of Jesus and listens to His word. Jesus reminds us that although serving others is important, we must never become so busy that we forget to spend time with Him. Today’s Gospel invites us to ask ourselves: Am I making enough time to listen to Jesus? As we begin this day, let us place our worries, responsibilities, families, work, and plans into God’s hands. May we learn from Mary to slow down, listen to the Lord, and choose what truly matters. Today’s Catholic Mass Readings: First Reading: Galatians 1:13-24 Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 139:1b-3, 13-14ab, 14c-15 Gospel: Luke 10:38-42 May today’s Catholic Gospel reflection strengthen your faith and bring you closer to Jesus Christ. If this reflection blesses you, please like this video, subscribe to The Word of Lord, and share it with someone who needs God’s Word today. Write your prayer intentions in the comments, and let us pray for one another.
