Description

In 1948, Idaho Fish and Game had a beaver problem near the new towns and a wilderness with no roads. Officer Elmo Heter's solution: leftover WWII parachutes and boxes that popped open on landing. An old male nicknamed Geronimo was dropped again and again to test them. Then 76 beavers were dropped, 75 survived, and their descendants still live there. #shorts #history #animals
