Why Chinese Farmers Put Rings on Pumpkins to Make Beautiful Lanterns 🎃🏮 #shorts 📄 These pumpkins don’t just grow into food — Chinese farmers use a clever technique to shape them into beautiful handmade lanterns. 🎃 While the pumpkins are still small and soft, a plastic ring is fitted tightly around the young fruit. As the pumpkin grows, the ring gradually presses into it, creating a distinctive shape. 🔄 Once the pumpkin is fully mature, it’s dried in the sun for around 15–20 days. The inside is then cleaned out, leaving a hollow shell ready for the next step. 🏷️ Designs are carefully carved into the surface using carving tools. ✨ Finally, a small light is placed inside. And when the light turns on… that ordinary pumpkin becomes a completely different kind of decoration — a handmade lantern. 🏮 #shorts #youtubeshorts #ytshorts #pumpkinlantern #pumpkincarving #pumpkincraft #lanternmaking #handmadeLantern #pumpkinart #fruitshaping #fruitcraft #chinesefarming #chinesefarmers #traditionalcraft #carvingart #handmadecraft #pumpkinartwork
