Warm Gathering with Hometown Friends — Lively Farm Feast Under the Trees

In this video, I prepared a special countryside feast right here on the farm for some very special visitors—my hometown friends! I started by cooking native chicken stuffed with glutinous rice and aromatic spices. My friends brought plenty of fresh seafood, so I fired up the grill to cook them over charcoal. I also made sizzling garlic shrimp and clams using rich, traditional lard for that deep, home-style flavor. To top it all off, we set up a long table lined with fresh banana leaves right under the shade of the trees, loaded with juicy fruits alongside our freshly cooked dishes. We enjoyed a traditional Filipino boodle fight salo-salo—a warm, festive way of sharing a meal with our hands straight from the banana leaves.
