At 83, Eddie Levert Finally REVEALS What We All Suspected... The man who lost three children in less than 20 years is also the most respected R&B voice in America. But Eddie Levert’s brilliant career came at a price. He discovered his voice could heal pain when he stood on stage. But only on stage, because every time he stepped down he had to face the coffins. His eldest son died of a drug overdose at 40. Sixteen months later, his second son died in a Cleveland jail after being denied his prescribed medication. Then his youngest daughter lost her battle with lupus at 22. He called those losses incomprehensible and once thought he was being punished for something he had done. The man who made the whole world sing along to “Love Train” admitted he felt he had failed as a father. Now, at 83, he reveals that the family pain shaped everything he did, every song he sang, every night he stood on stage. The voice behind the most unifying love song in R&B history has finally spoken to tell the true story of his life. #Celebrity #Celebritystories
