Why Did God Bury Moses Himself?

Moses climbed Mount Nebo at 120 years old, with his eyes clear and his strength intact, and he never came down. Deuteronomy 34 gives his death one verse. The very next verse says someone buried him, and the natural reading of the Hebrew is that the gravedigger was God himself. Why would the Lord personally handle the burial of a man who had just been refused entry into the Promised Land? And why can no one find the grave to this day?
