Bodycam Shows Cop's Death Threat Before Shooting

In March 2026, Chicago police pursued a vehicle linked to a prior shooting into Humboldt Park. Body camera footage captures the moments before an officer fired six shots into the car. The driver, 42-year-old Derek Jordan, was struck multiple times and pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital. The shooting officer was stripped of police powers, and attorneys for Jordan's family have launched a civil investigation into the department's failure to de-escalate. 00:00 – Suspect Located 00:33 – Officers Move In 01:31 – Mercedes Trapped 01:53 – Commands to Get Out 02:56 – Shots Fired 03:23 – Suspect Pulled From Vehicle 05:38 – Scene Secured 07:32 – Investigation, Aftermath 📺 MORE MIDWEST CRIME: 🔔 Subscribe & turn on notifications ⭐ EARLY ACCESS + AD-FREE on Patreon: https://Patreon.com/MidwestCrime 🌐 Full case archive + documents: https://www.MidwestCrime.com 📱 FOLLOW: TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@midwestcrime Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/midwest_crime X / Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/midwest_crime Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mwcrime 📬 CONTACT: Tips, submissions, sponsorships & collabs: [email protected] 🔎 ABOUT MIDWEST CRIME: Midwest Crime investigates real criminal cases across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa (and the rest of the heartland) using bodycam footage, court records and original research.
