The Nightmares Of The Cretaceous

T. rex might be the first animal you picture when you think of prehistoric nightmares, but being the biggest predator doesn’t automatically make you the greatest threat to a human. The Late Cretaceous was home to animals you would never want to encounter, and some could make being stranded in their world even worse than sharing it with Tyrannosaurus rex. In this video, we explore the nightmares of the Late Cretaceous and why surviving them would take more than keeping your distance from the largest dinosaurs. From predators on land to the dangers waiting beneath the water, we look at how their size, hunting strategies and environments could make them especially deadly to a person. When you’re the potential prey, it isn’t always the biggest set of teeth you need to worry about.
