Cinderella｜灰姑娘 仙杜瑞拉 仙履奇緣【Charles Perrault｜AI Cinematic Fairy Tale】

The most famous glass slipper of all comes from Perrault’s version of Cinderella. When I was little, this was also one of my favorite storybooks. Compared with the Basile version, Perrault’s version is definitely much more manageable. XD Besides removing a lot of complicated material, there are also far fewer sisters. From a production standpoint alone, I could really feel that this version was much easier to make than Basile’s. Perrault’s Cinderella is portrayed as an exceptionally gentle and kind girl. Even though her stepmother and stepsisters constantly order her around, she never really complains. She even knows that her father is afraid of his wife, so she simply keeps all her grievances to herself. So, in one of the earlier scenes, I deliberately had her father see Zezola looking shabby and dressed almost like a servant. And what does he do? He actually looks like a man who knows what is happening but is simply too afraid of his wife to do anything about it. Although this was all performed by AI, I have to admit, the AI actually acted that scene surprisingly well. XD This version actually has a lot of details. Just the part where, after sending the sisters off to the ball, I had to move the pumpkin to the place where Cinderella could transform took me from morning until night to finish. Maybe my skills are still lacking, but I really spent a ridiculous amount of time dealing with this part. XD Because of this film, I once again truly understood an old Eastern saying: “At first, the mountain is a mountain. Then, the mountain is no longer a mountain. Finally, the mountain is a mountain again.” How do you make someone hate a story they originally loved? Easy. Make them become the AI director and have them actually make the story themselves. XD The first “the mountain is a mountain” was simply loving the story as a child. Seeing the glass slipper, the pumpkin carriage, and Cinderella becoming a princess, everything just seemed so beautiful. Then came “the mountain is no longer a mountain.” That was when I actually started making the film and discovered— Why are all those little details I loved so much such a pain to make?! Every scene requires you to think about the characters, costumes, props, positions, spatial relationships, continuity, and so many other details. When I was simply reading the story, everything felt completely natural and effortless. But once I actually tried to make it myself, I realized just how much work goes into every little detail. And then, after finally finishing it, I returned to “the mountain is a mountain” once again. It is still the same story, and I still love it. In fact, because I made the whole thing myself, I think I love it even more now. XD At this point, I feel that this may very well be the most complete work I have made so far. After all, I have been carefully polishing it while following the original text as closely as possible, trying to preserve as much of Perrault’s original story, details, and character relationships as I can. So when I finally completed the whole film, the sense of accomplishment was really something special. Because this reflection is quite long, I will share it in the comments. Thank you everyone for watching this film, and thank you for reading through my very long-winded reflection! 💕 最大名鼎鼎的「玻璃鞋」，就是來自佩羅版本的《灰姑娘》。小時候，這也是我最喜歡的故事書之一。 跟巴西萊版本相比，佩羅版本真的是貼心許多（笑）。除了刪去了很多繁雜的內容之外，連姊姊都少了好多個。光是製作這一點，就讓我深深感受到——這版本真的比巴西萊好做多了。 佩羅筆下的灰姑娘，幾乎就是最溫柔、善良的模樣。即使一直被繼母和姊姊們使喚，她也沒有什麼怨言；甚至她也知道自己的爸爸怕老婆，只能默默把委屈吞進肚子裡。 所以前面的劇情，我故意讓爸爸看到澤佐拉穿得邋遢、像個僕人一樣的模樣，結果爸爸居然真的一副「我知道，但我惹不起老婆」的樣子。雖然這一切都是 AI 演出來的，但不得不說，AI 這次演得還真不錯。XD 這個版本的細節其實非常多。 光是「送姊姊們去舞會之後，要把南瓜搬到灰姑娘可以變身的地方」這件事情，我就從早上一路做到晚上才終於完成。可能也是我功力太差，這一段真的把我折騰得夠久。XD 也因為這部作品，我再次充分感受到一句東方古代諺語： 見山是山，見山不是山，見山是山。 要怎樣讓一個人討厭自己原本最喜歡的故事？ 很簡單，就讓他自己當 AI 導演，親手把這個故事做出來。XD 一開始的「見山是山」，就是小時候單純喜歡這個故事，看到玻璃鞋、南瓜馬車、灰姑娘變成公主，覺得一切都美好極了。 到了「見山不是山」，則是開始真正製作之後才發現—— 原來我以前喜歡的這些細節，做起來怎麼這麼麻煩？！ 一個場景要考慮人物、服裝、道具、位置、前後關係、連續性……以前看故事的時候，只覺得它理所當然；真的自己做，才知道每一個細節背後都是一堆工作。 而最後做完了，又重新回到了「見山是山」。 故事還是那個故事，我依舊喜歡它。 甚至因為自己親手把它完成了，反而比以前更喜歡了。XD 目前為止，我覺得這部很可能是我到現在為止，完整程度最高的一部作品。 畢竟我一直都是按照原著去慢慢打磨，盡可能把佩羅原本的故事、細節和人物關係都呈現出來。也因此，當最後真的把整部作品完成時，那種成就感真的很不一樣。 因為心得內容比較長，所以我會分享在留言處。 如果你對這些內容有興趣，歡迎到留言區看看，也很歡迎留言跟我分享你的想法。 謝謝大家收看這部影片，也謝謝你們看完我這篇落落長的心得！💕
