Description

On October 18th, 2024, a 28-year-old paramedic drove into the bush outside Chetwynd, British Columbia with his golden retriever. Three hours later his truck was found with the keys, the phone, the wallet — and the loaded rifle — still inside. Jim Barnes and his dog Murphy have never been seen again. No body. No bones. No blood. No drag marks. Nothing. Five weeks later, a starving golden retriever came limping out of the bush 100km away, and for a few days his family believed the impossible had happened. Then the RCMP ran a DNA test — and the result destroyed everything. In this documentary we go through the entire case: what the RCMP actually found at the scene, why a trained paramedic would abandon his weapon, why every natural predator explanation collapses under examination, and why the man who survived 50 days in the same province during the same month proves this was never about the cold. We also cover the recorded evidence. In October 2019, hunter Gino Meekis captured over two minutes of screaming from the northern Ontario bush — audio so unexplainable that Ontario's Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry was forced to issue a public statement. And four months earlier, five kilometres from the same spot, he had already encountered something else. The Chetwynd file is still open. Not one piece of Jim Barnes has ever been recovered. Something took a man and his dog off that road so completely that helicopters, police dog units and hundreds of searchers found nothing at all. What do you think happened? Drop your theory in the comments — I read every one. 📌 SOURCES RCMP Chetwynd Detachment releases (Oct 2024, Jan 2025, Oct 2025) CBC News — Andrew Kurjata, Oct 2024 & Jan 2025 Energeticcity.ca | Alaska Highway News | CKPG Today | CFNR Network Global News, CTV News, The Guardian — Sioux Lookout recording, 2019 Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry statement BC Supreme Court — Standing v.
