Operation Barbarossa: Why Hitler Thought He Could Take Russia In 100 Days

On June 22, 1941, Nazi Germany launched Operation Barbarossa, invading the Soviet Union in the largest and deadliest land offensive in military history. Driven by Hitler’s ideology of annihilation, millions of soldiers clashed in a conflict defined by unmatched violence, massive encirclements at Minsk and Kiev, and atrocious war crimes. Through uncensored personal diaries, letters, and rare footage from soldiers and civilians on both sides, this documentary reveals the horrifying human reality of WW2’s Eastern Front during its brutal opening months.
