God Can Give You a New Beginning | Christian Motivation 🙏 Welcome to Elevate Motivations There are parts of our past we wish we could rewrite—mistakes, regrets, broken relationships, painful decisions, and chapters we wish had ended differently. But in Philemon Chapter 1, Verses 15–16, Paul uses a small phrase that carries a remarkable amount of hope: “for a while.” Onesimus had a complicated history with Philemon. Paul did not ask Philemon to pretend that history never happened. He asked him to see Onesimus differently—as more than his former circumstances, as a beloved brother. That is the heart of this message. Your past can be real without becoming your identity. Forgiveness can be honest without ignoring wisdom. And a new beginning does not require pretending yesterday never happened. You cannot rewrite yesterday. For those who have been hurt, guard their hearts from bitterness. For those who struggle to receive Your forgiveness, help them believe what Your grace says about them. And where we cannot repair what happened, help us place those pieces into Your hands. Teach us to learn from yesterday without living under its authority. Give us courage to make different choices today and faith to follow Jesus faithfully. May we see ourselves and others with humility, dignity, mercy, and wisdom.
