Heeey Sweetlings! 💜 September is here again, and I think we all know this is one of those songs that never really leaves us. We may hear it differently as the years go by, but somehow, it always finds its way back to us. And I feel like the older we get, the heavier some of these words become. I know... trust me, I know that feeling very well. One year ago, I made this video during a time when grief was very close to me. A dear friend had lost her boyfriend at only 24 after his fight with cancer, and another friend had to say goodbye to his beloved pet, Zelda, because of that same terrible disease. With their permission, I turned a little of what they were going through into a tribute made with a lot of love and respect for their grief. And now, exactly one year later, I felt that this video deserved to live again. So we went back and completely remastered it, using everything we’ve learned and all the new tools we have today. Looking at the original video and seeing how far we’ve come in just one year is honestly incredible. What started as one of our earlier projects has now been given a whole new life, while keeping the heart and meaning of the original intact. But this tribute isn’t only for the people who inspired it anymore. It’s also for everyone who has ever found a piece of their own story inside this song. For everyone who has lost someone, misses someone, wishes they had one more conversation, one more hug, one more ordinary day together... or simply hears these lyrics differently now than they did years ago. Grief changes with time, but love doesn’t disappear with it. If something still hurts, maybe it’s because it mattered. And if it mattered that much, it’s because there was so much love there in the first place. There’s still a message waiting for you at the end of the video, and maybe today it will mean something completely different to you than it would have a year ago. So, if you can, hug your dad. Talk to your mom. Call that friend. Make peace with someone, or at least try. Tell the people you love that you love them while they’re still here to hear it. Life moves frighteningly fast, and sometimes we fall into autopilot believing there will always be more time. Tomorrow isn’t here yet, and yesterday is already gone. Live the now 💜 And finally, thank you for still being here one year later. Thank you for not giving up on me, for believing in this project, and for continuing to give these songs and stories a place in your hearts. September and October are going to be difficult months, but I want to bring more older videos from the channel back to life. Some stories deserve to be told again, especially when we finally have the tools to tell them the way we always imagined.
