Description

Hydrogen peroxide foams on a clean potato, so does that fizz mean it's killing germs? It doesn't. The foam is the peroxide breaking down, and the potato test is the one job it's good for: checking if your bottle is still alive. I checked 36 popular hydrogen peroxide videos (83 million views) against the CDC, the EPA and the labels: how long it needs on a counter, grout and mold, yellowed whites and blood, cuts, grease, mixing with vinegar or bleach, and why the $1 bottle can't say "disinfects". How old is your peroxide bottle? A guess is fine. #hydrogenperoxide #cleaningmyths #potatotest
