Between Love and Death 1 | A Hybrid GL WLW Horror Dark Romance

Jason leaves Manila to work abroad, promising Maya that he will return once he has saved enough to build the home they have always dreamed of. But while Jason sacrifices everything for their future, Maya secretly battles a failing heart. Unable to afford the operation that could prolong her life, Maya’s mother brings her to a remote province and seeks the help of an albularyo. What begins as a desperate attempt to save Maya awakens something ancient within her—a Valkyrie-like Filipina warrior bound to a forgotten bloodline, cursed to guide the dead and hunt the creatures hiding among the living. As the world of aswang, ancestral spirits, and rival mythical clans reveals itself, Maya must fight to keep her humanity. And across the distance, her memories of Jason become the only force powerful enough to remind her who she once was—and whom she promised to return to.
