Deep Sea Submersible Went Inside the USS Indianapolis — What It Captured Was Beyond Terrifying In 2017, an underwater robot finally reached the USS Indianapolis more than 18,000 feet down in the Philippine Sea, and what its cameras captured did not match the story told for decades. This video follows the cruiser's secret last mission, the torpedo attack that sank her in about 12 minutes, and the four days her crew spent adrift among sharks, oil and saltwater hallucinations. Then it walks through what the wreck really shows, from a bow lying more than a mile away and 12 missing hull frames to a crushed stern and watertight doors dogged shut, plus what the record says about the viral claims of a drone going inside her. #USSIndianapolis #Shipwreck #WW2History #NavalHistory #DeepSea USS Indianapolis, USS Indianapolis wreck, USS Indianapolis wreck footage, USS Indianapolis sinking, Indianapolis shark attack, 1945 shark attack, Philippine Sea shipwreck, Paul Allen, RV Petrel, I 58 submarine, Mochitsura Hashimoto, Captain Charles McVay, Harold Bray, Little Boy, Tinian, World War 2 history, WW2 shipwreck, naval history, deep sea wreck, shipwreck documentary, underwater robot footage, Hunter Scott
