Who Actually Owns Your AI Song? (Suno, Copyright & the Law)

Who owns an AI song made with Suno, Udio or an open-source model like YuE2? In the US, a song you only prompted can't be copyrighted – yet Suno still says free-plan songs can't be sold. Here's why both are true. I'm not a lawyer and this isn't legal advice – I went down the rabbit hole on AI music copyright and read the court rulings, the U.S. Copyright Office reports and Suno's actual terms.
