Description
What if there was one moment that explained everything we know about Snape in Harry Potter?
This video breaks down the moment when I FINALLY understood the paradox surrounding Snape's behavior. He is bitter, cruel, and often causes harm to many people but also is one of the most important protectors in the whole Harry Potter series.
Snape has been one of the most complicated and polarizing characters within the Harry Potter franchise. And while we've analyzed Snape using only the books, movies, and emotional logic behind his actions, this moment allows us to see what drives him.
The intention with this analysis is not to provide a surface-level defense or criticism of Snape. Rather, the goal of this analysis will be to examine the central paradox of Snape (the contradictions) which ultimately make him so unforgettable.
