Iranian Journalist Asks Putin What Russia Can Do to End Gaza War, Saving Palestinian Children

Vladimir Putin has delivered one of his most striking interventions yet on the war against Iran. Speaking at the Valdai Discussion Club, the Russian president declared that the whole world is “amazed by the courage and heroism of the Iranian nation,” praising its resilience, its armed forces and the Revolutionary Guards, and a people “prepared to sacrifice themselves” for the future of their country. Putin called the killing of Ali Larijani “a tremendous mistake,” eliminating the one man who could have negotiated peace in the Persian Gulf, and insisted that the only path to a settlement in the Middle East is the creation of a fully fledged Palestinian state. He went further: BRICS, he said, could be “the usher of the future world order,” while Europe’s leaders are manufacturing crises and “preparing for war” with Russia simply to stay in power. From Gaza to Tehran to Brussels, this is Putin laying out the map of a world order that is slipping out of the West’s hands.
