Amazon Engineer Quits ₹46 Lakh Job to Become Army Officer

From a ₹46 lakh package at Amazon to becoming an officer in the Indian Army 🇮🇳 27-year-old Shardendu Tiwari from Lucknow left his high-paying career as a Cloud Engineer at Amazon and an opportunity with Airbus to fulfil his dream of wearing the Olive Green. A second-generation soldier, Shardendu was inspired by his father, Honorary Captain Raj Kumar Tiwari, who served in the Army Service Corps for 36 years. But the journey wasn't easy. Shardendu faced Army selection eight times before finally getting recommended. He went on to train at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Gaya, where his leadership qualities earned him the prestigious appointment of Senior Under Officer. An engineering graduate with an M.Tech from Punjab Engineering College (PEC), Chandigarh, Shardendu had everything required for a successful corporate career. Yet, he chose purpose, adventure and service to the nation over a lucrative package. Today, he has been commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Indian Army. His journey from Amazon to the Indian Army is a powerful reminder that persistence can turn repeated setbacks into success. 🇮🇳 From ₹46 lakh package to the Olive Greens — he chose the uniform. #IndianArmy #OTAGaya #ShardenduTiwari #ArmyOfficer #AmazonEngineer #PassingOutParade #IndianArmyOfficer #SSB #SSBCrack
