Description

Jared Bridegan was shot and killed in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, on February 16, 2022, after a tire was deliberately placed in the road to stop his vehicle. Mario Fernandez - husband of Jared's ex-wife, Shanna Gardner - stood trial for orchestrating the killing. During trial, prosecutors played a wiretapped phone call between Fernandez and a longtime friend, recorded in January 2023 - a call neither man knew was being intercepted. In this video, we break down that entire call, word for word, line by line, using the same forensic statement analysis method we've used across this channel. WHAT WE COVER: • Full context on the case and why this call became evidence at trial • The complete call, broken into two halves, analyzed in full • What genuine surprise at unexpected news actually sounds like, and where this call does or doesn't reflect that • The gap between what gets explained at length and what gets denied in passing • Our honest, clearly-labeled opinion on what these patterns add up to IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ: This video is forensic language pattern analysis. It is not a legal opinion and not a determination of guilt. Mario Fernandez has pleaded not guilty. At the time of this video, the jury has the case for deliberation, and no verdict has been reached. We are analyzing language patterns in a recorded phone call entered into evidence and played in open court - not deciding the outcome of this case, which is a decision for a jury, not for this channel. This content is intended for educational purposes - to help viewers understand statement analysis and communication patterns they can apply broadly, including in their own lives. COMING SOON: Shanna Gardner's trial begins jury selection next Tuesday, with Jose Baez leading her defense. We'll be covering it as it develops, including her own previously unreleased police interview from March 1, 2022.
