Description
What happens when a man becomes so wealthy that he believes he can take even the crown from a rightful king?
In the peaceful village of Arugba, Chief Anifowose rises from an influential chief to a powerful and feared ruler. Through wealth, greed, bribery, and manipulation, he wins the loyalty of corrupt chiefs, turns hungry villagers against their own king, and forces Oba Gbelekale to abandon his palace.
With the royal throne finally in his possession, Anifowose believes nobody can challenge his authority. He imprisons anyone who dares to oppose him, seizes people's lands, and rules the village with fear.
But not everyone is willing to accept his wicked reign.
When Taju and a group of brave villagers attempt to resist the new king, betrayal threatens their mission. Just when Arugba seems to have lost all hope, Baba Ifa, an elderly spiritual custodian, steps forward to confront the man who has brought suffering upon the entire community.
Will Chief Anifowose's wealth and mysterious powers protect him forever? Will the rightful king return to his throne? And what happens when a kingdom built on greed, injustice, and betrayal finally faces its consequences?
Watch this captivating African folktale to discover how the story ends.
MORAL LESSON: Wealth does not automatically make someone worthy of leadership. A leader who uses power to oppress others may enjoy temporary success, but greed, betrayal, and injustice can eventually destroy everything they have built. A community must also learn the danger of selling its conscience for temporary benefits.
