15 Insane Facts About The Lake District That You Never Knew

15 Insane Geography Facts About The Lake District Everyone knows the Lake District as 900 square miles of postcard scenery. But underneath the mountains and water sits some of the strangest, darkest geography in England. It's a place where a lake swallowed a speed-record driver and kept him for 34 years. Where an entire village lies drowned beneath a reservoir and claws its way back into view every drought. And where England's deepest lake hides a secret at the bottom that nobody is ever allowed to go and check. Once you see what's really down there, you'll never look at this place the same way again. While I do my best to provide accurate and interesting information, these videos are based on research, geography, history, and the stories behind the places covered. Always explore further, check the details for yourself, and make your own judgments based on your own experiences.
