Today, we carried out a beautiful traditional African village cleansing ritual for our pregnant mum using fresh herbal leaves. 🌿❤️ We gently cleansed her hands and legs, before completing the ceremony around her pregnant belly as our elders have traditionally done for expectant mothers. In our community, this cultural practice is believed to help protect the mother and unborn baby from bad omens and the evil eye, while some elders also believe it helps prepare and position the baby in the womb.
