Description

You're kneeling on a concrete floor in Siberia. It's minus 25 outside. A fox walks toward you, presses its head into your palm, and rolls over to show you its belly. Wild foxes should never do this. So why does this one? The answer starts in 1959, when a Soviet geneticist hid one of the biggest evolution experiments in history inside a "study of stress physiology." His brother had been executed for the same science. He bred foxes for one thing only: **less fear**. Within a few generations, the foxes grew floppy ears, curly tails, and spotted coats. They wagged their tails and licked human faces. And they could read a pointing finger as well as a puppy, even though no one taught them. In this video, we uncover: 🦊 How 45,000 foxes were selected on a single trait 🧬 The "neural crest cell" theory that could explain the whole transformation 🧠 The brain and hormone changes behind tameness: cortisol, serotonin, and the amygdala 🐕 How your dog's gaze hijacks your oxytocin ⚰️ Ancient graves where humans were buried with dogs and foxes, 12,000 to 16,500 years ago 💰 The fur-farm twist that challenges the whole story 🚫 Why you still can't buy a domesticated fox at a pet shop 🤯 The final, unsettling question: did humans do the same thing to themselves? If a fox's fear can be edited out in just 40 years, what does that say about us? 👍 Like, subscribe, and comment: **do you think humans domesticated themselves? #fox #domestication #belyaev #sovietscience #evolution #genetics #sciencefacts #animalscience #documentary #sketchanimation** DISCLAIMER: This video is made for educational and entertainment purposes only.
