How To Check If A Diamond Is REAL Or FAKE!

👉 My book - Real, Fake or Worth a Fortune? https://ezrafeldstein.somethingworthwhile.online/ A stone sat in a velvet box for twenty seven years. The family swore it was real. After forty years on Forty-Seventh Street, I am showing you the seven tests that actually work - and the four kitchen tests that lie to you. I spent 40 years on the bench in the Manhattan Diamond District. I weighed stones, read marks, and wrote checks for the families who never knew what was sitting in the drawer. In this video I walk you through what the man behind the counter actually does when you hand him a diamond, and what he is doing while you watch him. In this video, I cover: - Why the glass scratch test tells you nothing - Why the water test is backwards (the fake sinks faster) - The fog test and its one big blind spot - The reading test and when it fails - How to use a ten dollar loupe the right way - The pawn shop tester that reads moissanite as diamond - Lab grown diamonds and why no tool in a store can catch them - How to use the free GIA Report Check to protect yourself #diamond #realvsfake #diamondtesting #jewelersecrets #47thstreet #ezrafeldstein #diamondappraisal #moissanite #labgrowndiamonds #gemology
