The White Dog That Led Our Family to an Abandoned Mountain Cabin During the Storm | Survival Ghibli A violent mountain storm traps a father, mother, young boy, and five-month-old baby between a fallen pine tree and dangerous mountain runoff. Their fluffy white dog suddenly leaves the trail and leads the family through the pine forest to an abandoned mountain cabin hidden in the storm. Inside, the cabin is cold and dusty, and the old wood stove cannot be used because the chimney is blocked. The family keeps the baby warm with dry clothes and blankets while the white dog helps them discover a hidden storage space containing firewood, wool blankets, rope, and an old chimney brush. The father carefully attempts to clear the chimney, but the first repair fails when smoke flows back into the cabin. He tries again, discovers an old bird nest deep inside the flue, and finally clears the blockage. The stove begins burning safely, filling the abandoned cabin with warm orange light while the family dries their clothes and prepares a hot meal. Later, strong winds tear at a loose shutter, forcing the father to secure it before the family settles down for a warm night. By dawn, the storm has passed, and the white dog steps onto the porch as the family watches sunlight return across the mountain forest.
