Description
CERN’s ATLAS experiment has pushed the search for supersymmetry further — without finding evidence of the particles it targeted. What do these new limits tell us about physics beyond the Standard Model?
In this video, we explore results reported in March 2026, using data collected at the Large Hadron Collider between 2015 and 2018. Machine learning helped researchers search for exceptionally faint signals associated with hypothetical higgsinos, neutralinos, and charginos.
We explain why nearly equal particle masses make these signals difficult to detect, how researchers search for subtle particle tracks, and why a result without a discovery still matters.
These searches constrain specific supersymmetric scenarios. They do not rule out supersymmetry as a whole.
💬 WHAT DO YOU THINK?
What would convince you that a promising theory needs a rethink — stronger experimental limits, a better alternative, or both?
