#RayDavies #BobDylan #ChuckBerry #TheKinks #BrianWilson #ClassicRock Ray Davies reflects on the artists whose music stayed with him long after the records stopped playing. From Bob Dylan, whose songs gave him the courage to write about life as it really was, to Chuck Berry’s unforgettable storytelling and Brian Wilson’s beautiful harmonies, each musician left something behind that shaped Davies in his own way. He also remembers the raw power of John Lee Hooker’s blues and the deeply moving voice of Otis Redding. These are more than stories about musical influences. They are memories of the songs, sounds, and moments that helped one of Britain’s most distinctive songwriters find his own voice. #BobDylan #ChuckBerry #BrianWilson #JohnLeeHooker #OtisRedding
