“Baxter! Run, don’t look back, he’s right there!” was heard being shouted one, late hot summer night in 1996 in American Fork, Utah. The 2 witnesses who heard it were in different houses but jumped up, running to their windows to see what was happening. Neither of them can explain to this day what they saw. That summer was an awful turning point for 3 high school best friends, Baxter, Lin and Brent who were all aged 17. They were your regular run-of-the-mill rebellious teenage boys but while out running amok one night something incomprehensible happened to them. Years later after moving to the middle of nowhere in southeast Arizona, an investigative journalist from Utah tracked down Baxter and got him to tell his side of what took place. This was the interview he gave. Only their last names are being used in the story.
