Description

The cashier had just scanned my last item when I noticed something about my cart. Almost everything in it was something somebody else had already done the work on. Yogurt already portioned into little cups. Rice already cooked and sealed in a tub. A sandwich already assembled and wrapped. I was paying, item after item, for the privilege of skipping a two-minute job. My grandmother's grocery list fit on the back of an envelope. Flour, lard, beans, coffee, cheese, eggs. Her cart was ingredients, and she was the convenience. So I spent a few weeks paying attention to which of my grocery habits had quietly stopped earning their place. In this video, I share ten of them and the simple swap I use now for each: None of these items are wrong to buy. Convenience can be exactly what gets dinner on the table, especially when your energy is low or your hands are hurting. These are simply the things that stopped earning their place in my own grocery budget. 👉 Prices mentioned are rough estimates from the stores where I shop and will vary by region and store. These are things that work for me, so always use your own good judgement. New videos a few times a week.
