VISIONQUEST Is Marvel’s Best Surprise in Years | Exclusive Review

Watch Now: https://www.disneyplus.com/browse/entity-8744ec55-8d14-4631-99b4-c889a2d6013f VisionQuest finally gives Vision the MCU spotlight he deserves — and somehow manages to bring Ultron back in a way that makes James Spader’s villain even more interesting than he was in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Picking up the story after WandaVision and Agatha All Along, the new Marvel series follows Paul Bettany’s Vision as he attempts to understand his past, his humanity, and what comes next. Along the way, the show dives deeper into the history of artificial intelligence in the MCU while bringing back familiar faces including Ultron, JARVIS, FRIDAY, and more. But the real highlight is the relationship between Vision and Ultron. Bettany and Spader get plenty of time together, mixing humor, menace, grief, and some surprisingly emotional character work. The series also introduces new threats, expands the Maximoff family story, and pushes Billy and Tommy Maximoff closer toward their superhero futures. With eight full-length episodes, plenty of Marvel weirdness, some strong action, and a surprisingly intimate story about family, grief, identity, and moving on, VisionQuest may not be as groundbreaking as WandaVision — but it delivers a satisfying conclusion to this corner of the MCU. Is it perfect? No. But with Paul Bettany at his best, James Spader stealing scenes as Ultron, and some major implications for the future of Marvel, this is one MCU series that absolutely deserves your attention. Our rating: 8/10. PLOT: The Vision fights to regain his humanity and memories.
