Operation Goral: The $1M Heist That Funded The Polish Resistance

Discover the untold story of Operation Goral, the most daring bank heist of WW2. In August 1943, the Polish Underground Army ambushed a heavily guarded Nazi transport convoy in the heart of occupied Warsaw. In just two minutes, resistance fighters eliminated the German escort and seized over 100 million Zloty—equivalent to $1 million. This massive fortune was immediately funneled into their secret war effort, providing weapons, sabotage materials, and crucial funding for the elite fighters taking the fight directly to the Gestapo.
