Description
Egypt is doing something almost unbelievable: it is creating a new branch of the Nile in the middle of the desert.
The project, called Jirian, is planned as a massive new desert city with artificial canals, luxury apartments, glass towers, skyscrapers, roads, universities, hospitals, and modern districts. But there is one big problem: Egypt is already facing serious water pressure, and almost the entire country depends on the Nile.
