Description

🔗 Save $1,400 A Year with My Complete Aquarium-Saving Methods I teach: https://isamuyoshida.com Your fish's waste isn't really waste. It's fertilizer. In this video, a koi keeper from Niigata's snow country shows you how to build a simple vegetable garden on the edge of your aquarium (an aquaponics planter made from an old filter box, clay balls and a small pump) and grow green onions from the white ends you'd normally throw away. The roots pull waste out of the water as food, helping keep your tank cleaner, and you harvest fresh greens again and again. It's the same idea as the old rice-paddy fish farms of Asia, where fish fed the rice and the rice cleaned the water.
