Description

In 1518, people in Strasbourg began dancing and struggled to stop. Then officials made a startling decision: they brought in musicians and encouraged more dancing. When that failed, the city changed course. More than 500 years later, historians still cannot say with certainty what caused the outbreak. This documentary follows the recorded response and examines the possible explanations. Historical scenes are dramatized, and reported death tolls remain unverified. What do you think caused the dancing? Explore more strange stories and surprising facts at https://www.funandfactopedia.com/ Sources: Lynneth J.
