Description
What happens to waste coconut husks after coconuts are harvested? In many places, discarded coconut husks are simply burned or sent to landfills, wasting a valuable natural fiber resource. In this video, we explore how this agricultural waste can instead be transformed into beautiful decorative coconut-fiber light globes through a complete recycling and manufacturing process.
We start with coconut harvesting and dehusking. The discarded husks then go through fiber extraction, dust removing, washing, dewatering, drying, crushing, fiber opening, mixing and compression molding to create strong coconut-fiber composite hemispheres.
The formed hemispheres are then dried, precisely drilled and covered with beautiful full-surface decorative perforation patterns. After cleaning, two precisely formed hemispheres are carefully aligned and joined together to create a complete spherical globe. The assembled spherical shells then receive a transparent protective coating, followed by controlled drying and final polishing.
Finally, the electrical components are installed and tested, transforming the recycled coconut-fiber shells into stunning decorative light globes that produce beautiful patterns when illuminated.
Disclaimer: This video is created for educational, documentary, and entertainment purposes. The manufacturing process shown is an industrial-style visualization of coconut husk recycling and product development. The scenes are digitally generated or recreated for visual storytelling and not represent the exact equipment, procedures, or conditions used in every real-world coconut-fiber manufacturing facility. The video aims to promote recycling, sustainable material use, and environmental awareness.
