Description

Ears Da Christ came up in Trinidad, Northeast D.C., alongside his best friend, Andre “Tank” Johnson. By his own account, the two were moving millions in cocaine before he turned seventeen. Then Alberto “Alpo” Martinez arrived from Harlem. This documentary traces Ears’s story through the crack era: a kidnapping, a feud that began over a photograph, the death of his closest friend, and a federal case that ended with Wayne “Silk” Perry serving life. Ears claims Alpo once named him for a murder he did not commit. Drawing on court records, archival news reports, and Ears’s own interviews, we separate what is documented from what remains his word alone.
