Description
For 130 million years, one of the most successful predators in Earth's oceans had a neck longer than its entire body. Scientists thought it was a weapon. The bones said otherwise. In this video, we go beyond the famous silhouette and break down how this "impossible" animal actually worked — from its revolutionary four-flipper propulsion system (which no other vertebrate has ever used) to the 2011 fossil discovery that proved it never touched land. The answer isn't what you'd expect, and it changes how you see the whole animal.
