Description
Learn four past tenses and the Future Simple in one English grammar lesson with David and Alice. Practice English listening through clear explanations, everyday conversations, and exercises with answers.
This special episode brings together Days 5–9 of our Master Every Tense series. Whether you're reviewing the basics or working on more advanced sentence patterns, you can study one chapter at a time and return to the examples whenever you need them.
In this lesson, you'll practice:
• Past Simple: completed actions, past habits, and stories
• Past Continuous: actions in progress and background events
• Past Perfect: what happened before another past event
• Past Perfect Continuous: ongoing activity before a past moment
• Future Simple with will: predictions, promises, offers, and decisions
Follow conversations about weekends, childhood memories, unexpected encounters, job interviews, and future hopes. Compare the four past tenses side by side, review common mistakes, and explore the difference between will and going to.
For active practice, listen to an example, pause, and repeat it aloud. Then change the sentence to describe your own life. In the mixed practice section, pause before each answer and explain why you chose that verb form.
Your challenge: Write five sentences in the comments—one for each tense. Which tense is the hardest for you to use?
Subscribe and continue the Master Every Tense playlist for more English grammar, listening practice, and useful conversations.
