A VOICE YOU CANNOT BURY by VELKIRA — modern heavy metal with powerful female vocals, heavy guitar riffs, melodic leads and driving acoustic drums. Watch the official music video featuring VELKIRA and her all-female band. Built on distorted rhythm guitars, deep bass and expressive vocal delivery, this original song balances melodic intensity with a commanding metal sound. Emotionally charged verses, guitar-driven instrumental passages and a powerful final climax carry its message of resilience, inner strength and refusing to be silenced. Outside, the streets were white with frost I walked them counting what I'd lost No grand procession, no applause Just bleeding hands and open doors The past still knows where I sleep Some nights it drags me underneath But morning finds me standing there With shaking knees and tangled hair Let the old bells break Let the whole town hear There's a life to claim On the other side of fear I've got a voice you cannot bury A heart too loud to keep below All of the weight you made me carry Comes crashing down with every note I don't need a throne to stand tall Don't need your blessing to be free I've got a voice you cannot bury And you will hear the last of me! Hear me now! Through the walls, through the ground! Hear me now! You can't shut this sound out! I wanted someone else to save me I waited till the daylight died Then heard my own breath in the silence And knew someone was still alive Not untouched Not unafraid But still here And wide awake Take back the sentence! Take back the shame! I was a prisoner— Now I have a name! I've got a voice you cannot bury A heart too loud to keep below All of the weight you made me carry Lies at my feet as I let go I don't need a throne to stand tall This broken ground belongs to me I've got a voice you cannot bury And more than pain left inside me! Let it shake Let it strain Every rough note Bears my name Hear me now— I'm still here!
